About Shortland Street The Musical
Hailed as the hilarious loving parody musical of the year, Shortland Street the Musical is based on the long running, highly successful NZ television series: Shortland Street.
All the original characters are there: Dr. Ropata, Nurse Carrie, Rachel, Nick, Marj, Nick, Kirsty, Lionel and Chris Warner (and his numerous wives!) and many more.
Music and Lyrics by Guy Langford. Book by Guy Langford and Simon Bennett. Previously staged in Auckland and Palmerston North to rave reviews, Kauri Theatre is very proud to bring this laugh out loud production to Wellington for the first time.

About the Director - Bonita Edwards
Bonita brings to the team 40 years of theatrical experience and has been involved with
numerous theatre companies in the Wellington region.
Over the years, she has participated as a performer and has vast experience as a choreographer, director, production management and has held executive roles including holding the position of President for The Company of Musical Players Inc for four years.
Bonita was acknowledged for her contributions to the CMP with a Life Membership award.
This year, she pairs her role as Vice President with Show Director.
After holding production roles in the first two Kauri productions, she is extremely excited to now direct Shortland Street: The Musical.
